Cindy Chen

About Cindy
Hi delegates! My name is Cindy Chen and I am honored to serve as your Under-Secretary General of Internal Affairs this year. I am currently a junior at Walnut High School, where I serve as the captain of the Model United Nations Team. I believe that this activity is so critical to catalyzing political advocacy and developing the leaders of tomorrow–leaders that will value cooperation and solutions over division.
Beyond MUN, I am also an activist. I founded the IgniteHER Project, partly to address the inequality and discrimination that I saw in public speaking activities like Debate and Model United Nations. I hope to empower many more young women to partake in activities like MUN to create a future where women are confident in their voice and claim their power as leaders.
Thank you for choosing to attend SGVMUN. See you on conference day!
