Topic: Strengthening Post-Conflict Health Systems
Committee Profile
In WHO, we will address the challenge of strengthening health systems in post-conflict regions, where years of violence have weakened medical infrastructure, workforce capacity, and public trust. Delegates will evaluate how conflict disrupts access to care, disease prevention, and emergency response, especially in vulnerable populations. Our committee aims to propose solutions for rebuilding resilient and equitable health systems that can support long-term recovery and stability.

About Julia
Hello Delegates!! My name is Julia Chen and I will be attending as a Co-chair of WHO at SGVMUN III! I’m currently a junior at Arcadia High School. It’s been six years since my first Model UN conference and I am beyond delighted to be working with the dias to bring this conference to you! I can’t wait to see this conference’s speeches, research, and well-developed solutions! This year, we will be exploring the reconstruction of health systems in post-conflict regions -– an urgent and relevant global challenge. Hopefully, you all will find this topic both engaging and meaningful. As your chair, I will make every effort to keep this committee fair and most importantly, FUN! Beyond Model UN, my favorite activities include anything that involves an artistic and creative eye, such as drawing and designing. Whether you are a new or seasoned delegate, I encourage everyone to try their best and challenge themselves. I can’t wait to meet all the delegates at SGVMUN! Best of luck with your preparation!Â
